The West Branch Fitness & Activity Center is much more than "the local gym".
It is a community service organization providing leadership and mentoring for youth, programs for youth through seniors, health education programs and fitness training. It is a center for youth, adult and community-wide events.
The "W" exists for the community ~ today and in the future.
Let's keep the "YOU" in the "W"
A few facts everyone should know are the "W" operates as an entity of the West Branch Township. The "W" has been supported in part by contributions from West Branch Township at times when the "W" did not have funds to support itself. West Branch Township is not in a position to continue to financially support the "W", so as part of strategic planning we have identified fundraising as an important part of financial support of the "W"
We are asking individuals, families and area businesses to consider supporting the "W" with a small financial contribution. We are asking that people interested in seeing the "W" continue as the exceptional community resource that it is, support with an amount that they can afford. We realize that purse-strings are tight, but if we don't pull together as a community now the "W" may not be here in the future.
We are recommending that individuals or families that can't afford a lot to contribute even $5. If every person in the areas surrounding the "W" contributed just $5, it could raise over $50,000 in support of the "W".
We are recommending for people who can afford more or small businesses, that you consider contributing $100 or more. If only 500 families and small businesses contributied $100, that would be $50,000 raised in support of the "W"
We also realize that many of you are interested in supporting the "W" and may be able to contribute an amount more than $5 and less than $100, any amount would help to make the "W" self-sustaining and keep the wonderful opportunities available to the community.
The important thing to remember is that we can all play a valuable role
in the continued future of the "W"
