Volunteers may perform their hours at the “W” or in support of “W sponsored programs. However, we are committed to setting an example of what it means to “build community” and will support and accept volunteer hours performed at any other business, agency, or faith based agency.
At the “W” achievement of our mission and visions can be better served by the active volunteer participation of the membership at the “W” and members of the general community. To this end, we will accept and encourage involvement of volunteers for all of our programs and activities. All of our staff are a part of assisting in the creation of meaningful and productive roles in which volunteers might serve and to assist in the recruitment of volunteers. Volunteers may fall within one of three primary categories:
● Half to Full Day (HFD): May spend 4-8+ hours on shift or split shift
● Event, Program, Task Specific (EPTS): Will volunteer for an event like Day Camp, a Dance, Coach a Sports Team, Library, work a project etc.
● Limited Time (LT): Usually 1-2 hours. May just come to do cleaning
